Have you ever gone to have a swim in your favourite lake or river only to find that the water is murky and disgusting? Well, maybe not but this could happen to your children or future generations. Do you want that? You are probably making it worse without knowing.

Firstly, most paints that are used for both painting houses and kids face paint or picture paint contain atrocious chemicals. For example in over half of children's face paint contain disastrous chemicals including styrene, formaldehyde, lead, cadmium and more. Cadmium is linked to cancer! By not buying the right face paint for your child you could be giving them cancer!

Secondly, we are so lucky to have clean water at the touch of a tap and we take it for granted. Did you know that 49% of the world's population doesn’t have access to clean water!? That's nearly half of the world! When the government was chlorinating our water and we couldn’t use it for twelve hours we found it really hard and yet we are just ruining our water so that we can’t use it permanently. Why? We are making the water worse for everyone and yet we do have other choices but we are just not using them.

Also what about the longfin eels? We are the only place in the world that has Longfin eels. You may be thinking, who cares about a dumb eel? Well since the longfin eel is only in New Zealand that means if we keep damaging our water it will have a serious impact on the longfin eels causing extinction! We will never see a live longfin eel again it will be gone because of us making selfish choices.

In conclusion, I suggest using paint brands like Resene, Natural paint.co etc. These paint brands and others can be found at Mitre Ten, Bunnings and for the Natural Paint co. brand of paint can be found at their Warehouse at 9/88 Hayton Road Wigram Christchurch. You now know that we have to make a change. Not next year, not next week, not tomorrow, we need to make a change today!

So That is why we think everyone should go eco-friendly.
